Pikler Triangle : Digital Plans and Physical Templates NOW AVAILABLE!
I made this Pikler Triangle for my son who recently started to learn how to get up and move around. It was designed by Emmi Pikler in the first half of the 20th century and has been in use for decades in Montessori programs. The triangle was designed for kids to use from 6months up until 5 years old and is aimed to help kids understand and develop their motor skills. This climbing triangle acts as a tool to help them learn on their own, build confidence, problem solve, and understand where their body is in relation to space.
I hope that you will be able to make one for your little one at home.
If you're interested in the child safe paints and finishing I used, you can purchase them here: The Real Milk Paint Co.
Use code "DESIGNCRAFT" for 10% off your order!
Like with all toys, kids should ALWAYS be supervised while they are using this triangle.
V1.2 UPDATE!!!
I have included the option for you to make this on your own if you have a CNC.
Select the DIGITAL TEMPLATE option to purchase the file! You will need a CNC with 38” at least of cutting capacity or the ability to panelize your workpiece.
If you don't have a CNC and would like a template set sent to you, select the 1/4 MDF TEMPLATE SET option to order your set. The template can be used with a router and patterning bit, so some woodworking knowledge and tools are required.
The Template Set will include :
(1) Long Rail (1) Short Rail (1) Triangle Brace
Each will have prelocated holes for your rods and hardware.
